Express Moving Van Lines

This was my first time using this company and I am pleased with everything overall. I found Express Moving through my own research. I have to say from my past experiences using companies in NJ this one was the best. Great sales reps, workers and prices. I was quoted a price and it stayed the same because my list of items did not change. I wanted to take a couple mins out of my time to write a review and thank Express Moving for their help in my move. I will be using them in the future and I and thankful that I found them!!

Service cost: $1700

Where to begin.  First off the quote I got was two dollars higher per square foot because my final destination changed from San Diego to Los Angeles.  Nobody could tell me why the difference.  The pickup went ok.  The delivery on the other hand was horrible.  I got a call the afternoon before my scheduled delivery and they said they would arrive in the morning of the next day.  They arrived 12 hours later and all my friends were long gone.  The boxes looked like hell and I ended up helping one of the movers lift everything into my place as the other one was texting and doing who know's what on his phone. Since it was so late when they finally arrived I had nobody to help check off inventory tags but they wanted a signature that there was no Damage and that everything arrived.  I had broken stuff and I still haven't had a chance to see what stuff might be missing.  Oh and on top of it I received two boxes of items that were not even mine.  I emailed and called about this and nothing was ever resolved.  Took the third call to have someone tell me to just throw it away.

I LOVED Express Moving Vanlines. -great service (from point A to point B) -great workers (friendly, smiling, efficent and strong!) - helpful (Always answer the phone in the office, the sales rep was very helpful and respectful) -realiable (I booked Express Moving the first time I spoke to the on the phone) -trustworthy (I knew I had chose the right company because I felt like I could trust them from the start) I couldn't have picked a better company to move me. I had a great estimate quoted to me, affordable and decent! I realied on Express Moving for everything, and they did not let me down. This is a top notch company that makes sure you are a HAPPY customer! I sure was! Thanks Express Moving for your time, caring, and compasionate service!

My experience with Express Moving Van Lines started with Martin. He was very personable and professional and had a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the moving process. He asked me questions I hadn't even thought of and the answers to those questions helped me tremendously in making the correct decisions. Once I had decided who would be my moving company of choice Martin was quick to offer his assistance for anything else I might need to make the process stress free. Any questions call him anytime! I was very surprised when I was called to tell me my belongings had arrived and would be delivered the next day. Once again the mover was professional and courteous and efficient. All in all my experience was fantastic from booking, to price, pick-up and to Delivery in 8 day!

Summary: bait and switch, liars, damaged belongings.
Before they picked up our belongings, Martin is prompt and attentive.  I emailed a detailed list of all our furniture (with dimensions).  The estimate was better than other movers I sent the same list to.   As the truck pulled up the street, I said to my husband, we are going to need a bigger truck.  The mover agreed and after a lot of back and forth, it turned into a 2 day move and instead of $3K, it will be $5k.
Fast forward 30 days, we are ready for the delivery of our belongings. I called 3 times and was told each time they will get back to me.  Now I'm upset and told them. We finally agreed on a date.  I called the day before the expected delivery and they denied the agreed date and said "o no, it's a Jewish holiday and we're not working." I spent 2 hours on the phone (VERY UPSET) and they finally agreed to come on the agreed date. They are a bunch of liars, we casually asked one of the guys if he was heading home now, and he said there was another job right behind ours! So it "appears" they got another job and tried to push us off by lying.
Delivered condition of our belongings: boxes marked "fragile" had broken and dented items, hardware is missing from some furniture, floor lamp was smashed, and deep scratches on wood furniture.  .

This is my second time using Express Moving Vanlines. The first time I used them was a little move from an apartment so I did not have alot of things. The second time around was a more complicated move. The movers had to move my stuff from point A onto the truck then into the storage then a month later deliever it to my new house. Needless to say I was worried that with all that moving of my things something was going to get damaged, misplaced, etc. my moving experience was once again perfect. The workers really worked hard and made sure that all of my things were handled with care. I had no damaged items and everything was delievered to me on time, and in great condition. When it comes to moving I take it very seriously because I never really have good experiences with movers. When I did my research I saw that Express Moving Vanlines was an excellent company. Great reviews and even a family friend that had recently just used them said they were outstanding.
When I called the next day the sales representative answered with a friendly tone. He was very easy and clear to talk to. Made all the points right from the beginning. He was helpful and made sure that we both were on the same page.
On the morning of my move Express Moving sent a great crew to my house! matching shirts, friendly attuitudes, and great respect. Everything was already packed by me and ready to be loaded into the truck. They proceeded to load everything in and finished just within a couple hours. everything was smooth.
Express Moving changed my mind about movers, after my wonderful experience with them I am sure that I will never use or try another company again. Only Express Moving! thanks guys!
